HOW WE WENT ABOUT IT??

According to people perceptions, the length of the forearm is equivalent to the length of the feet. As we did a one to one interview asking them whether the length of the forearm is equivalent to the length of the feet, most of the subjects agreed to the statement.

Our research question:
Is a person's forearm's length is related to his/her feet length?

Defining the Variables:
• Variable 1: Forearm length.
• Variable 2: Feet length.
• Extraneous variables: Gender.

Conceptualization:
• Forearm length: Length taken from the wrist to the elbow of the subject
• Feet length: Length taken from the tip of the toes to the back of the foot of the subject

Literature Review:

What is it called when your forearm is the same size as your foot?

Long arms, small feet.

What is the relationship between height and shoe size?

Operationalization:

1. We gather our samples by using the random method. we measure the forearm and the feet of our schoolmates using the material we have prepare.
2. The material are used in centimeter for all the subject.
3. Everyone using the same side of the extrimeties to measure.
4. Two people will be collecting samples and ask for their permission.2 of the other group members will be measuring and each have to assure that it is the correct measurement taken. the last 2 members will be holding on to the list of measurement, they have to assure that the measurement heard are correct and charted according to the information they have given.
5. The data collected from a group of males and female of age-group between 17-47.

What Can Affect the Test:
Inaccurate length measurements can be caused by:

1. The subject tend to move and the readings maybe affected.
2. The base of the material may affect the result if is different or not still.
3. If the subject is wearing shoes that are difficult to remove they may want to abandon the test.[this may shows that they have not been given the information well]
4. Measurement are not to be taken from those who just came out of a cold or air-condition place as it may affect the result.[their feet size tend to shrink]

Precautions Taken During Operationalization:

1. Make sure that the material for measurement doesn't move around.
2. Adequate information are to be given so that no subject will abandon the est half-way.
3. Support the subject so that they don't fall
4. Support the subject so that they won't fidget to given false result.
5. Measurement are to be taken in the same environment temperature.
